Anyone been to the new Yankee Stadium yet?
I want to get my Dad tickets for his birthday. We'll be taking my 3 year old with us (his first game!!!). I'm looking on stub hub and not sure where we should sit. Bleachers or Terrace??? I'm leaning towards bleachers b/c of the price. Are all the bleacher seats comparable???

I honestly couldn't tell you...depends on what section you're in...I sit in bleachers all the time, but for me it's not about the seats, it's about the experience of being there. And the fans are the best in the bleachers. If you're in the terrace (do you mean grandstand?), you probably want to be closer to the plate.
I wish they had the 3D view of the field from your seats but it looks like they haven't done that yet...

I wish they had the 3D view of the field from your seats but it looks like they haven't done that yet...
They do here:
3-D seat locator
I've been to the stadium for the 2 exhibition games vs the Cubs. The view from our section in the bleachers is great. A bit more toward center and a little higher up, but we can actually see the warning track now.
NOT all seats are like this. If you get seats closer to the bar on either side.....they are seriously obstructed view. My suggestion is if you can score seats in the bleachers in either far right field or far left field, you'll have a great time for a quarter of the price. Not sure about the grandstand. HTH

also wanted to add that you know your family best. Know that the the bleachers are just that. metal bleachers with no back. I know it's much easier to take my 2 yo somewhere there's an actual seat and my dad would never last for a whole game with no back. but that's my family.

I was at the first game against the cubs
We sat in the main level but in home territory right field and the bleachers are pretty good but there are no backs to the benches
Some are blocked by the restaurant/bar in center field but they have tv screens on the wall

Thank you all for the info. I thought about the no back to the seats issue. Still thinking about that one.
Can you get to the rest of the stadium from the bleachers now??? My Father wants to walk around and I totally forgot that at the old stadium, you couldn't do this from the bleachers.

you can get to teh rest of the stadium but dont expect to be able to move around like the old stadium
Everything is set up so you cant get into any section with out a ticket, there is no main walkway like in the old stadium its very claustrophobic i feel.

I was in the grandstand seating for opening day and our friends who share our season tickets were in our seats. They called us and told us to come over since there were seats open and we went. No one stopped us.
You can go anywhere in the stadium except the luxury boxes and the Jim Beam Suite club. Sure you can't sit in someone seat if someone is actually there..
I heard about there being no backs to the seats in the bleachers. That stinks.
