Red Sox jersey REMOVED from the new Yankee stadium!!!
wooohoo!!!
just saw on the news that they cracked open the pavement and found the David Ortiz red sox jersey that a Boston fan left when doing construction on the new stadium......removed the jersey and auctioned it off for charity!!!
suuuuck on that red sox fan!

And for what? A jersey? Come on....

And they're threatening legal action - for what? LOL
Truly truly sad - but I'm not surprised.
Face facts - Boston is currently the better team. You can plant 100 jerseys - won't mean anything if you can't get the job done on the field.
Boston totally got into their heads and it worked - well played.

just like someone else said---if it was done at a new stadium in Boston--they would have reacted the same way. i don't doubt that at all. and yeah players are quite superstitious -- that's in just about any sport.....some think its silly and some don't. but either way i'm just glad the jersey was removed from the stadium.

i played football and basketball
talent wins games and wins championships
if i was the yankees, i would have said leave the jersey there, your mindless attempt to get in our heads will not be successful.
Then beat em on the field, and place the jersey on the championship float

I don't disagree with you on that---but i think this was more for the whole "yankees-red sox rivalry" more than anything---and when there are rivalries...the teams are always looking for a way to get at the other not just on the field---but off...especially with the fans.
