Anyone been told you have a blood clot down there?
I had my ultrascreen today and the dr found a small clot and said it was probably the cause of the bleeding I freaked out about recently.
Can any of you ladies share any similar experiences if you were told you had this? Did it resolve on it's own? Did you end up bleeding/spotting throughout the pregnancy? Anything else newsworthy?!

Re: Anyone been told you have a blood clot down there?
I had a subchorionic hematoma (a blood clot in my uterus). It caused bleeding and spotting from about 5wks-15wks. There were times when I bled a ton....like AF bleeding. It was a rough road because I thought I was losing the babies a few times. I was with my RE for the bulk of the bleeding, so that was helpful because I could just walk in, say I was bleeding, and get an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok (for piece of mind).
My last big bleed was pretty bad, but I think those clots that I passed were pretty much it. After that, I had some brown spotting and then it stopped. I haven't had any other issues with it since (I am 34wks now).
Clots can be all different sizes, so if yours is smaller than mine, you may not have that much bleeding. I will tell you that resting as much as possible was key for me....on days when I over-exerted myself (like cleaning the house), I bled more.
It isn't something to stress about....a lot of ladies here have had it. But, it is just always hard to see blood.
If you have any questions, feel free to FM

Re: Anyone been told you have a blood clot down there?
Thank you!! I remember you telling me this when I posted about my bleeding episode a few weeks ago!!
She said the blood clot was in my placenta but didn't say it had a specific name.. I'm wondering if it's the same kind of clot. Did you end up needing baby aspirin? Did it just resolve on it's own? You can FM if you don't want to post it here!
