Blood clot

Hi everyone, I need some prayers. I went yesterday to my high risk doctor for my 14 wk checkup and it seems that an earlier clot that had cleared itself has reappeared behind the placenta and is fairly big. The tech said any sudden 'jolts' could cause it to bleed and I could lose the baby.

I've already been placed on bedrest for my clotting problems, I've been taking it easy.... I guess the vessel just keeps bleeding.

I have to go back next wed for another check. UGH.

Thanks.

Re: Blood clot

Are you on Lovenox or at least Baby Apirin??

I have a blood clot in my uterus that my doc says the baby aspirin will help break down so it will reabsorb.

Re: Blood clot

yes, on lovenox 2x daily - the doctor just added baby aspirin back in. I am supposed to be 'resting' at home, but I have an 18 month old. So, I dropped her off at my inlaws and now I am 'resting' at my desk as work! I'll get more downtime here than I would at home!!

I hope it goes away. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers!!

Re: Blood clot

First of all I am sorry you are going thru this.

I am going thru something very similiar.
The only difference is that they are calling mine a hemtoma, and not blood clot. I thought they were both the same but my dr said no.

I have a clotting disorder too, was on a baby asa regimen since before pregnant. At 6 weeks they found a hemtoma, didnt want to take me off baby asa bc it was small. I have been monitored for it every 3 weeks. IT was getting small and now at 15 weeks 3 days it tripled in size.

My dr decided take me off the asapirin bc he feels the aspirin is causing me to bleed, which in turn is causing a clot to develop. His rationale is if I didnt bleed, no clot would form , so lets take away what he thinks is the cause of the bleed.

ITs very confusing and I hate that i am off the baby asa, but both my high risk dr and my OB concurred that this was the route to go for me.

IT sounds like we have something different, but he did also tell me not to work right now ( i am a RN with a long commute on public transportation each day).

Good luck to you and if you need anything I am here.
