Anyone dining inside?

I know that a lot of restaurants have inside dining now, with limited capacity. Has anyone been to a restaurant and eaten inside?
I haven't, and I'm not sure when I will be. We still get take-out, so I'm still supporting the local shops, but I'm not comfortable eating indoors just yet.

Re: Anyone dining inside?

Yes, I would say maybe once a week or so since indoor dining reopened. I do not love outdoor dining for a few reasons.

If DH and I go out, we usually eat indoors...though there are a couple of spots where I think the outdoor area is cute and enjoy it. I would say the majority of my friends are doing indoor dining, though I am happy to do what works for the crowd when I go out with friends who aren't. We don't have a ton of family in the area, but if DH and I go out with my dad and his girlfriend, it's indoors.

Re: Anyone dining inside?

I haven’t in NJ because they just opened up two weeks age and the weather is nice so I prefer outside. But I did eat inside in Ocean City, MD the end of June, so I have no issue with eating inside.

I’m just glad it’s finally allowed. They have been really suffering.

I've eaten inside 5 restaurants since March 14th. 5 times I ate inside: for an anniversary dinner, for my daughters birthday, forced by in-laws, denied outdoor seating and was too hungry to find some place else x2. lol

I am not that comfortable with it. It doesn't feel comfortable. Especially in the smaller places who still want tables closer together. Plus some places still try to hand you physical menus or have a slighty dirty table and I find myself judging every person not wearing a mask while ordering or talking so loudly I feel like their spit in headed in the air towards me. I know it's crazy but that's how I think now.

Some places are doing things well though.

We have been ordering in and dined outside twice. We ate in a restaurant once, but it was basically accidentally. We went to pick up ice cream and there was basically nobody in the restaurant (midweek) so we ate inside. It was a quick dessert.

I am still not comfortable eating inside generally. Not worth the risk IMO.

Re: Anyone dining inside?

Every single Saturday night since indoor was allowed and at least once a week for lunch with my co-workers. (sometimes twice a week for lunch if we have a vendor lunch one day and a team lunch the next)
No issues at all.
Every place we have gone to has been full to their limited capacity both inside and out and hard to get reservations for, so it seems a lot of people are back to eating out.

I hate eating outside- too hot and humid in the summer, too cold in the fall, windy, buggy, not for me.
Once winter comes it will be funny to see the people shivering out there to eat outside

Anyone dining inside?

We went to Frank's Steaks in RVC for my in laws' 50th Anniversary. There were 12 of us plus a baby. We were in the same "clan" so no need to social distance. We were given a private room in the back, and they said we'd be alone from at least 4:40-6:00, because they used that room as carry over from the main dining room if it got to capacity. They didn't add another table in there until almost 7, and it was all the way on the other side of the room, and there were 4 people at the table. We had to wear our masks walking to and from the bathroom. I felt comfortable with it.
The other two times I've gone to a restaurant since March has been outside. CJ's in Mattituck and Gosman's in Montauk.

No, I haven’t felt comfortable eating inside a restaurant so far. I’ve done outdoor dining 3 times.

No. I can’t imagine doing this anytime soon. We do a lot of takeout and have dined outdoors a lot this summer.

Nope, and no plans to. I've done outdoor a few times. But I alwayschose outdoors when it was an option pre-covid.

Yes - we've done it when we were out of town, it was either too hot or there was no outside seating available.

It was nice, and normal feeling. We had no issues.

Re: Anyone dining inside?

No. And won’t be anytime soon. We ate outside at an Italian place in Sayville for my MIL bday earlier this month and I wasn’t thrilled about it.

We order in but that took til about June for me to feel comfortable with that

Re: Anyone dining inside?

I went to eat out on Saturday and was excited to finally dine in. But they messed up the order of the wait and sat people before us, so we got stuck outside. I found it ironic, because inside was so empty but outside area was packed. We were more on top of each other outside than the diners eating in the restaurant. Made no sense.

Yes, and it was fine, the tables were apart, so we had no issues.

Anyone dining inside?

We have not eaten inside at a restaurant yet, and don’t have plans to do so anytime soon. We ate outside twice, and continue to get take out.

We have been dining inside since around June when the restriction was lifted. It has been fine, every restaurant is taking precautions, everything is very clean and TBH, most places are pretty empty anyway. It would been that hardly anyone is dining inside, maybe that will change as the weather gets colder and the outside dining is off the table.

No, not yet. I really have no desire too. I have dined outside and still do takeout, but for the most part I cook.
My physician does not recommend indoor dining at all. I trust her and I can live quite well without eating inside for the time being. we'll see!
