Anyone do clomid/iui with Hershlag (or anyone at NSUH)?
I am trying to figure out how I can do a clomid/iui cycle without missing work. I have a 7 am appt for clomid check next week, then I start clomid. Then I think I have to go in for sonogram to check size of follies (does dr do this?) and then maybe a trigger shot? and then back for the IUI. Is it easy to make early appts? are those 7 am appts available for iui too? so nervous since my boss is a JERK and I work in the city and need to sneak this all in. Any BTDTs appreciated!

I didnt take Clomid but I did do injections at NSUH. I was going in about two times a week for sonograms to check for follies. For the IUI your DH will have to go in a couple of hours before to either leave a sample or do it there because it takes a couple of hours for them to clean it and get it ready.
When I went in for IUI, my DH did his sample at 7am and I had a 3 o'clock appt for the IUI. You should defintely talk to your boss and explain the situation. Good luck to you!!

I also got to NSUH, although I am on a bit of a break right now. I think you should be fine with 7AM appointments for the monitoring. yes the MD does the sono. From what I understand though the IUIs are done in the afternoon. Maybe you can leave early that day or take the day off.
Or maybe if you are real lucky it will fall on a weekend. Good luck!

Well I think it would be really hard to do it without taking time off or telling your boss.
You are gonna need an average of 5-9 visits I would say for a cycle, and they rarely do IUIS in the morning. I had about 6 done there and my earliest one was at 11:30 one time. Most were around 2:30.
the 7am appointments if you get there on time for blood and sonos can be quick, you can be out of there by 7:30 sometimes....
to be perfectly honest, when I worked full time, I never had one cycle where I didnt miss some work and I had about 8 cycles with them.
The best was one or two iui cycles I was late about 15 minutes twice. So not too bad....

I did IUI At NSUH and monitoring can be done early in the morning. As a matter of fact I even went there on my way to work when I thought I was pregnent (& I was!) and made it to work on time!!
Like someone else said your DH needs to make his dropoff a couple of hrs before so the specimen can be prepared.
It does take a lot of time - not sure if you could do it without work knowing- guess it depends on the kind of work you have. I am a teacher so it was impossible!
