Anyone doing any special "snow" foods
I decided to make rice pudding.
Seems like a good comfort food for today.

Re: Anyone doing any special "snow" foods
Not necessarily, but all I've done today is eat like I have two assholes!
- oatmeal - egg and cheddar on a roll - half a blueberry muffin - half a veggie wrap and a pickle - a mini black and white cookie - a clementine
and it's only 3:30.
GET IN MAH BELLY!!!!

Bolognese Sauce with Rigatoni
Sounds divine! Do you have a recipe you can share? I LOVE bolognese!
a little bit of this a little bit of that?
I used what I had since I was snowed in:
I cut one side off my bacon (up to the bump) and cooked it in a stock pot until crispy then I put in half a stick of butter and a drizzle of olive oil and sweated four carrots, three stalks of celery, five cloves of garlic and a large onion that I had finely chopped in a food processor. When softened, I threw in a pack of meatloaf mix (pork, veal and beef) and browned. When browned I threw in a can of cento san marzano tomatos, some Shiraz that I had leftover, some chicken stock, added some salt, pepper, parsley and thyme and after coming to a boil, lowered the temperature to simmer. I simmered for nearly 4 hours, reducing liquid stiring occassionally so it didnt stick. Every 1/2 hour or so, I'd stir in some milk. Towards the end I added some freshly grated nutmeg.
this recipe is similar:
Bolognese Sauce
ENJOY!
