Anyone doing Insanity?
How's it going? I'm ending week 3. It's tough but I'm determined to stick with it. One thing that has gotten me is the fact that I've only lost 1.5 lbs. I've been working my butt off and have been eating well (1200 calories max a day). Anyone else have this issue with Insanity? Also do you take protein shakes or anything like that? If so what and why? Thanks!

Re: Anyone doing Insanity?
I did it last year, about 45 days of the program. I only lost 1.5 lbs doing it but my upper body looked so much more toned.

I did it for it a month, I think I am going to start again next week but as a "hybrid" with Zumba. I'm not sure what your body is like but with such an intense workout you probably need to be eating more.

Re: Anyone doing Insanity?
Thanks guys.
Mrs Yank: I'm 5'4 and weigh 134lbs. I did some research yesterday and yeah I think I'm not eating enough calories. I'm going to up my calories to 1500 a day and see how it goes. According to the insanity meal guide I should be eating b/w 1800-2000 but I think that's too much So we'll see how it goes at 1500. Thanks again! Good Luck! Keep digging deeper

Re: Anyone doing Insanity?
I really wanna do the insanity workout - I don't really have the room though. Are you enjoying the workout?

Re: Anyone doing Insanity?
You don't need a lot of room to do insanity. I started doing it and realized that it's a really great toning program. I found after 2 weeks I had gained a pound and my calves felt bigger. So I stopped. I have a good 40+ lbs to lose. For my body specifically, I need to drop a good amount of weight before I pick it up again. I do however have a girl friend who lost a ton on it. She swore to me that if I had stuck it out for another week or so I would've started seeing more weight loss but I was too scared of the calf muscles to find out LOL

Same here! My calves grew from doing kickboxing 5 times a week!

Re: Anyone doing Insanity?
I did the whole insanity...i didn't lose weight but felt good doing the workout. The 2nd month lagged on it just seemed an extra 15mins for the same workout moves in the first month.

Re: Anyone doing Insanity?
I found this article re: weightloss and beginning a new workout program that was helpful: Why the scale goes up when starting a new workout plan
Since I posted I lost another 1.5 lbs so a total of 3lbs in 3.5 weeks. I have also lost inches. Don't know how many since I didn't measure myself at the beginning but my clothes are definitely looser. I also feel stronger/better! I dread doing it at times, but I am enjoying it.
As for the room, you really don't need a lot of it. I do it in my basement but if I had to could definitely do it in a smaller space.
I skimmed through the first DVD of month 2 and was I don't think I can do it! Holy shit!
