Anyone doing Run for the Warriors Race in Lindenhurst tomorrow?
I am doing the 5K and my DH is doing the 10K. Just wondering if anyone else was planning to run.

I am doing the 10k. Part of me wishes I signed up for the 5k, but I'm going with the 10k. Any ideas on where is the best place to park? I have to rush out of there at the end of the race and don't want to get blocked in due to the road closures.

I guess it just depends on what direction you have to head after the race. If you are traveling on Sunrise Hwy going East then I would park on the street where McDondald's is on the corner. If you are traveling West on Sunrise, I would park passed Town Hall by a few blocks but stay on the North side of Sunrise so you don't have to cross over.
Good luck tomorrow! Good for you running the 10K.

I have to go east. After looking at the race course, it seems as if Sunrise westbound is part of the last mile of the 10k; however, I e-mailed them to ask what the road closures were, and they said to park north of sunrise if I needed to get out of there. I just don't know how to go to get back east, it looks as if all the side streets near town hall do not connect to any major roads.
Have you ever done the race? If so, do you know what roads are closed?

I hope you were able to find your way out of there. What a turnout!!! How did you do? I was about a minute off of my desired time but I have the annoying cough so I think that was part of my problem.
My DH medaled in his age group. And he almost won the 10K overall...close!

Wow congrats to your DH! I was so confused, they had the 10k start after the 5k? It was crazy. I was running a little late and was scrambling with the road closures.
Did you find the results online? I can't seem to find them.

I haven't seen the results yet but they had all kinds of problems with the results at the end of the race. Apparently, they didn't anticipate the number of "day of race" entrants that they had so when the race was over they were still putting names, info & bib #'s into the system. They said the results would be backed up about an hour. My DH and I came home, showered and he went back up for his award. Crazy!

Wow, that is crazy!! It was so overwhelming, people doing the 10k were starting with the 5k, nobody knew what was going on!

It was a great event. Have any of you found results online yet? I don't even see where we would find them. I really want to know how I did. I left my watch at home and the clock time is never the chip time. I am so anxious, lol!!
