Anyone else...
...read the pregnancy board to see what's going on in "that" world, to see what the graduates of this board are experiencing...then transition from curiosity to plummeting sadness and wanting to rip your own eyes out for being so stupid and masochistic. Anyone? Anyone?

All the time...then I stopped logging on and letting it consume me. Haven't checked in in a while. When I come on every now and again instead of all of the time I feel happiness for them instead of sadness for myself :) It's a process ((hugs))

I'm guilty for this too....I go on and wonder if my name will ever be on that board.  Of course I'm so so happy for all the women on there but it definitely makes me feel more sorry for myself.

yup. same here. try to come on this board as much as possible and help with any info I have.
when I was going thru all the fertility treatments going on pregnancy board and looking for IF board graduates gave me hope and some encouragement. Anyone else just made me sad for myself hehe

I did all the time as well, and I still love coming on here pretty regularly to see what's happening with everyone and offer tons of  to have everyone be able to join the other board.
I will admit, and hopefully this doesn't stir up any  - I do get more frustrated with the pregnancy board than a lot of other ones, mainly because I feel like there's a bunch of things that get said that just feel insensitive and I get easily frustrated when there's people complaining about certain parts of pregnancy. I'm sure a lot of this stems from having to try for years and just feeling grateful to have any pain or ache. Sorry, small mini rant.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. What I guess gets to me most is people from the IF board who have successfully graduated and complained as if they were too quick to forget what they went thru to get there? On the other hand, women who conceive fairly quickly will complain; because they can, it was easy for them. They don't what its like to be on the "other side".
I dont know.......I know I wont regret throwing up every day, gaining weight, getting fat, looking like a slob if I have to. I want it. I pray for it! Seven years; trust me I want that!!
And of course, this is isnt to stir anything, just an honest opinion on how I feel.

I have lurked on TTC, TTC after MC, IF, Pregnancy and Parenting pretty much the entire time. I rarely post generally -- when I do I post on the facebook groups more than LIF -- but I do read all of the boards. It took me a very long time before I posted on pregnancy.
But, with respect to IF or post-MC graduates complaining about their pregnancies, I try not to and I am very grateful to be where I am right now, but I dont begrudge anyone the right to complain. People complain, it is what it is, pregnancy like anything else can be difficult, and IF and post-MC grads have already been denied so much of the process that they should be entitled to complain or anything else like any other "typical" pregnant woman IMO. Just like announcing early if they feel comfortable (which I did not) or talking about their pregnancy. I think the post IF/MC grads should get more leeway if anything. But, I do expect there to be more sensitivity with respect to people they know are struggling because of the BTDT component.

I avoid it like the plague. But honestly I don't know anyone on here that well yet. Most of my LIW 09 brides are long gone and I haven't been here that long. But as I get to know people better on this board I could see myself doing that.

Always know that every journey is totally individual.
I always looked on the pregnancy board and I would get many similar mixed emotions but just know- that's totally normal.
It's okay to feel happy and then sad. I look on the expecting list and get teary eyed seeing that some of us who went through HELL are now realizing their dream.
Infertility can really drain all of the happiness in our lives but it's important to keep faith and keep pushing forward, even when things totally suck.
One thing I won't do is judge another persons journey, whether they are part of the easy pregnancy group or the years of suffering with IF group. You are growing a human from your body and it can sometimes suck so bad while others have no issues at all. I don't think it's fair that IF girls have to be stoic and go through hell to get preg and then during the lows of a pregnancy, can't even feel comfortable expressing how bad they feel to fellow preggos. I do see how constant complaining can be annoying but again, it's that persons journey and issues, not yours. I rather be a source of support as so many of you have been to me.
You all are superstars in my book and I can't wait until each and every one of you will be on that side. You will get there!

I think it is very easy to forget the feelings you had once you leave this side of the boards. Yes, every journey is different, and yes everyone has the right to do and say whatever they want. Complain or not. BUT for the people who have not yet realized their dream, or may never get the chance to, someone complaining about their PG is tough. Again, try and remember the days when you longed to be on that other side and would do, give, go through anything to get there.
This board is a safe place for people to say whatever it is they need to for that moment in their journey. Not a place to have a finger shaken at them for expressing their feelings.
