anyone else child "hate" cereal?
We had decided to wait until dd was 5 months old to introduce solids....and this morning was the first day dh and I were both home to give her rice cereal....
while she posed for pics at first, she hated it, wanted nothing of it....
so now we will truly have the "oldest" child who will never eat

it's only the first day. Sometimes it takes a few tries for them to get used to it. Did you make it really thin? Try that at first, the texture might be weird to her right now.

My daughter didn't really start to enjoy solids until she was 9 months old and could feed herself cheerios. I'm sure you'll figure it out!

It could take her a couple of days. you have to think she has nothing with this texture before so she is like what the heck is this??

I waited until he was about 5 months too. Andy hated it until I mixed fruit in with it. Now you can't get it in his mouth fast enough.

Ellie hated cereal and we thought she hated eating but then when I was ridiculously frustrated I decided the hell with it and added her first fruit to it and she gobbled it up. So it was just that she didn't like plain cereal so you might want to try adding the fruit or veg to it and see.
