anyone else feel like theyare ALWAYS over budget?
Dh and i do fairly well together. With our salaries before his OT we shoud be abel to save at least 1000-1200 a month and then his ot on top of that but.. IT NEVER HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!!! It always feel like there is someting, a party,a wedding, a gofl trip, league fees for softball or bowling or i need a new pair of shoes( i do mean ned not just want i has no winter/fallshoes)
Am i alone here?

I would add to your budget for these things - i have a 10% misc column each month so i dont feel bad when these things come up.
and if i dont need to dip into it, it goes in the bank!

I feel your pain! Sometimes it feels like we have so many expenses that are unexpected.
Make sure you pay yourself first. Take a reasonable amount (but deduct an amount for unexpected expense as the previous poster said) and put it in the bank and don't touch. DH and I have a seperate account that we take out of our checks and neither of us are allowed to touch it.
