anyone else have GERD (gastro esophagial reflux disease)?
i've had it for years but its just been terrible lately! i watch my diet and try not to eat the foods that trigger it, but its still such a PITA! anyone else have it?

I do... I am trying to control my diet, not to lay down after eating etc etc but sometimes nothing works and I dont want to be on pills for the rest of my life... I hate when I get this feeling like there is something stuck in my throat, so annoying  my GERD was pretty under control for a while but I think pregnancy caused it to get worse...

Could have written this myself.
I really have to avoid alcohol and caffiene the most.
But it's hard for me to function without them.

I actually have Laryngopharyngeal reflux which equally sucks. And has gone on for so long, my primary wants me to stop seeing the ENT and I have an appt with a Gastroenterologost this afternoon. 
I've been clearing my throat for about a month straight now!!

yes.
i have it on and off.
For me it's triggered most by stress. Certain foods trigger it as well.

I have to take medicine for it everyday. I should watch my diet and alcohol but I don't. Bad Sean.

FH has it... it was really bad for a few years, but <<knock on wood>> it's really getting so much better. He was on a few meds to keep it under control.

I do! And I have IBS!
I did not always have it, but started noticing symptoms not long after leaving my job in lower Manhattan (worked in the area before and a year after 9-11).
I do take medication and found that lifestyle modification really helps.

I have that...I had surgury for a hiatel hernia and I had Barrets Esophogus...I have to still take Nexium everyday
