anyone else have slanted ceilings in the nursery?
Are you decorating the slant? And if so how?

I have a cape so the room where the new nursery will be is slanted. I'm not doing anything to it.

Yes, the news babies will be going into the slanted room (if we don't move). The room is already painted a light sage green and we are leaving it that color. The slants are green as well. If we have girls I was thinking about hanging some butterflies on the slants. If we have 1 of each or boys... not sure yet.

Re: anyone else have slanted ceilings in the nursery?
I have a slant all along the front of the long, narrow room (it's a classic colonial house).
I haven't quite figured it out yet: but it does limit where you put the furniture. I want to place the crib up along the slant and am afraid of sticking or banging things into the slant... although it would look nice... if they fall, they would fall into the crib.
If the cribs are too high (in height), I'm going to leave a twin bed up along the slant and place the crib in a corner.

This is a great picture!!! Thanks!
I love the way you highlighted the slant by hanging pics on your window wall.
My nursery will be a lot more narrow, but with a slant on one wall.

This is very much the same setup in our house. The crib and dresser are in the same place and everything. Yours looks so pretty! We still have some work to do.
I loved the idea and planned on putting hanging pictures on that wall as well. I also planned on hanging a shelf there to put a baby video monitor on so it looks right into the crib.

That looks great. Our set-up is slightly different, I will post pics when the nursery is done. How old is your DC? Are you concerned about him/her pulling thos pics off the wall?

Re: anyone else have slanted ceilings in the nursery?
Yup, we are leaving everything painted one color as to prevent an akward break in the room. I am also avoiding the oh-so-cute border that comes with my set because it would be weird to put it in the middle of the room and then have it literally in the middle of the front and back walls which are flat.

I am currently 37 weeks with our first DC, so no baby yet! But I was worried about the picture frames too. I am pretty sure when the baby starts to stand, we are going to move those pictures to another wall. But for now, they just looked nice there.
