My SIL said they start in Sept and go through October.
There was also an article in Newsday yesterday that the school tax one should be coming in October...that's the one if your district didn't go out of budget.
How much for this one?
I think it's around the same amount, maybe a little less.

Did anyone not get one yet? We haven't received ours. I am bit nervous that we threw it out (although I already had DH check the garbage) or it was stolen.

Actually I read that the property tax one will vary in amount depending how much more taxes your taxes went up or something like that I'm not 100% sure but I know everyone will get different amounts. The article I read say if you paid say $50 more that's what you will get back.
Also I assume that's based off of last year school budget vote

Yeah, I don't remember all the exact specifics but I do think it's going to be different amounts and max amount is not more than 2 or 300 dollars.
I'm not complaining either way!

Anyone else hear about the nys tax rebate coming at the end of the month?
My accountant told me that if we had a child in 2012 we would get the rebate and that for all successive years the credit will be on the tax return starting with the 2014 returns.
Ignore the above!
Editing my post because I called 518-485-1057 and spoke to a very nice man who told me that I do qualify and my check was sent out on 9/24 and if I do not get it within 14 business days to call back.
I also asked him about the Property Tax Freeze Credit and he was able to give me my eligibility information too. I am a unique case because we moved the end of August and have not applied for the STAR yet. But my property and district do meet the requirements for this credit.

Question.. is it an actual check that I can cash?
Got it in the mail.. looks like a check. Tried to deposit it (using mobile banking) and it said it was already deposited (which it was not)
Then on the check it says "This refun is issues on your income tax return for the year(s) shown below: Tax year(s) 2014"
So basically I will get it back then or I should be able to cash this now?

I was able to do a mobile deposit.
but just an FYI if you and your DH name is on it both have to apparently sign it.
my friend just signed and deposited and the government wouldn't cash it and she got a fee on her account

I just tried again with my other bank account - it allowed me to deposit with mobile banking on Chase but not Bofa.
Just saw this though and only I signed it! Hope that doesnt happen to me!
