DS just turned 12 months last week. From birth-12 months you can get sizing every 3 months which I liked. He is just now starting to fit into some 12 month clothing. I feel like he will be in this size for awhile if he continues to grow at the same rate he has been. I feel like 12-18 is such a huge gap in size, I think he could possibly wear 18 next summer even. I need to get him clothes for the fall but I have no clue what size to get him.

It really depends upon your DC and how fast or slow they grow. There is a slow down in growth that will be interspersed with growth spurts. If it was me, I would get a few things in 12-18 and 18-24 so you will have them when you need them. I always found it annoying when we would be in the middle of the season and I needed the next size up but there was nothing left in the store because they were already on to the next season with months left in the current one.

dd is 15 months and has been in some 12-18 for a while and now starting with 18-24. They are a little big but I think I am going to get more 18-24 month. You can extend the fall clothes into the winter so take into consideration. DD has always been out of the range by the end so into 6-9 at exactly 6 months kwim? also, make sure length will fit him. She's tall 90%, and the onsies are tight on her length wise and I am guessing pants will be short if they are in the smaller range.

Yes- I feel like DD has been fitting in 12 month sizes forever.
And my mom just asked me what size to get her for fall and I was stumped.
I feel like 18 months is huge!
Yet I don't want to get stuck with 12 months stuff for fall if she outgrows it in a month or 2.
It's difficult to predict for sure!
