Anyone else scared
Scared of soemthing going wrong and you and or baby dont make it? Scared you will be a bad mom? (No one wants to be but lets be honest bad ones do exist) Not loving baby enough ( again no one plans to be i different or ppd) That baby wont love you?
Any of the above? All of the above? Anything else?

Re: Anyone else scared
I'm scared of labor and delivery. I keep reminding myself that millions of women have done this before me, so I'll be fine.
I travel A LOT for work, so I'm worried how it will all play out. I'm gone for weeks at a time and come home on the weekends and I can't fathom leaving baby girl for such long periods of time, although I know she'll be in great hands with DH and my mom.
Those are pretty much my biggies for now. I can't wait for so I can love on her.

Re: Anyone else scared
Not scared about childbirth, I figure it'll work out fine. Scared about everything after! Having energy to take care of a baby, knowing what I'm doing, raising a good kid, etc etc.

I'm scared about childbirth and being a good mom. DH will be helpful but there are so many things I would need to do more than he would on a daily basis

Re: Anyone else scared
Actually with my DD, I was afraid of childbirth knowing that I was going to have a c-section. But, I wasn't scared about being a mom.
With this pg, I am still scared of childbirth.
I wouldn't say so much as a fear....but, having enough energy for my 4 1/2 year old and newborn.

Re: Anyone else scared
Fear is inevitable. It melts away the second you see your baby. After that, you take it day by day. The fear will NEVER go away, but it gets pushed to the side because you have a job to do. Some day, you even forget that you were ever afraid.

Re: Anyone else scared
Im also afraid of having a newborn and toddler (DD will be 20 months), so is just so demanding of my attention, I dont know how I will do this.
I am terrified of childbirth. My first experience was really painful (I dont want to scare anyone) and it took me a while to get over it. Although the minute DD came out the pain was gone, it wasnt gone from memory. I had really bad back labor and despite getting an epidural the pain was unbearable. I felt like an elephant was sitting on my back crushing my bones. Sorry again. I just hope that doesnt happen again.

Nerves are totally normal, but don't let it consume you. Everything works itself out.

Re: Anyone else scared
I'm scared of everything! I'm scared that something will go wrong with the pregnancy, I'm not really concerned about myself but I worry about the babies all the time.
I'm scared that something will be wrong with one or both of them once they're born.
I'm scared that I won't be able to raise twins and give them both equal amounts of time and love.
Basically, you name it - I'm scared of it! Lol

Anyone else scared
I just wanted to add that the worry doesn't end when you have the baby!! I think it gets worse! Now I worry if he is developing and growing ok, if he eats enough, if he's going to fall, etc, etc, etc. I think it's just part of being a mom and it starts the second you get pregnant!

Re: Anyone else scared
I was very scared of chidlbirth, especially because I had C-sections. I was SO nervous that something would go wrong and I wouldn't make it. I know, it's a morbid thought but surgery scared me. Luckily it all went fine but I was really nervous. Probably even more nervous the second time around because I knew what to expect.
As for becoming a parent, I wasn't scared about that. By the time I had kids I was older (32) and very ready, I knew what to expect and I was confident in myself to be a mom. It felt very natural to me when my kids were born. I was a bit nervous the second time around about the lack of sleep with a NB in the house and a 4 yr old but thankfully my DS was a great sleeper from the start like his sister.
ETA - Don't worry for a second about the love. Your baby will adore you beyond belief and you will love them more than life itself.

Anyone else scared
I was never afraid of labor/delivery, but I was afraid that at my age, I wouldn't be able to get used to a little munchkin around. But, like Hofstra said - the love that you feel when you see that LO, is UNBELIEVABLE. And every day it just keeps getting more & more intense.

Re: Anyone else scared
After so many years of being scared I'd never be a mom, becoming one doesn't intimidate me whatsoever - at least not yet. I'm more afraid that I should just get to that point .. make it full term or at least damn close to it ... and that the baby and I should come out of this healthy.
I believe everything will fall into place one way or another .. but any fear I have of becoming a mom 10000% pales in comparison to the fear of not getting that opportunity.

Anyone else scared
YES- terrified about all of it! Labor, raising a baby... But I guess no one is ever prepared and in the end it will all be worth it! Just gotta go in head-first. If women have been doing this since the beginning of time, so can we!

Anyone else scared
Every now and then I'm scared of delivery and then remember what my dad says "women used to give birth in the field and then go back to work, you're not the first one going through this and I promise you won't be the last." I'm scared I won't know what to do with him when he's born. I'm scared DH will be too tired from work to help me out around the apartment with DS. I'm scared that I'll be sent back to work (I'm unemployed) too soon and we don't know what to do about childcare. I'm scared I won't have a job for another 6 months and bills will start to get tight. I'm scared about A LOT but I've been trying not to think about it. Right now the thing that concerns me the most is the "not knowing" when and how labor will be.
