Anyone else with siblings much younger than them?

So random musings... My 'baby' sister is almost 9 years younger than me. To me, she's always been my little sister.

Well, all of a sudden, she's not. And it's kind of weirding me out. It's like she went from a little annoying kid who always wanted me play games with her, to this teenager who wants nothing to do with anyone in the family - well, except for me on occasion, I'm the only one she likes

And I look at her friend's profiles and stuff on myspace... These girls who I've known since they were 7 or 8 years old, and they say they've drank and I'm like "NO! You're too young" And then I realize that when I was 14, I drank a little, and all this stuff. And it's just weird.

And now she has a BOYFRIEND. I can't handle this!

Geeze, I feel like a parent who doesn't want my kid to grow up.

For some reason, this isn't as difficult with my brother (6 years younger). Maybe because he hasn't changed as much.

I can't handle this! I want my baby sister back!

I can totally see where you are coming from. My sister and I are 10 years apart. She is and always will be my "baby" no matter what. She posts on here once in a blue moon, and maybe she will see this so she can understand how we "older" siblings feel.
My sister turned 20 in June. She is a JR. in college and a mom. She is still with her BF, they will be celebrating 3 years this month.
Even though she's a mom, I know she can take care of herself, she's still my baby.
I see her friends once in a while when they "come home to visit from college" and I just cant believe these are the little girls I used to babysit for or help drive around cuz they wanted to go somewhere.
I too, would love my "baby" sister back.
