Anyone else's DC grind their teeth

Ellie's just getting the top two teeth and she grinds them together with the bottom- ALOT. At first I thought it was just that she was doing b/c it was something new and she could. But it's been like a week and it's not stopping. My book says that if it doesn't resolve itself or it gets worse to see the Dr. But I'm wondering what is the Dr. going to be able to do aout it? I am going to call them but I don't want to overeact if this will stop on its own. Afterall, those teeth arent' fully in yet and do I'm thinking maybe it's a teething thing she's doing? Anyway just looking for someone who's been through this to tell me if it's a phase and what the solutions are. TIA!

Brendan did that for a while after his teeth first came in. Maybe the pressure of the teeth together relieves some of the teething pain? I didn't do anything about it and he just stopped on his own. I don't remember how long it lasted--not too long, but longer than a week. I'm sure it will just resolve itself.

oh, thank you so much. I really needed to hear that. It's been worrying me but I didn't know what to do about it. It such a terrible sound. I'll give it some more time and see.

Kerri used to do this but I think the novelty wore off and she stopped

DD started doing this when she got top teeth. She still does it but I don't really worry or make a big deal about it. I just assume she will stop soon enough.
