anyone elses dc rejecting the bottle b/c ebf?

i'm at my wits end. dh and i have tried everything, the ped. doesn't know what to tell us to do anymore, my friend (a feeding specialist) is also out of ideas.

ds is 5 months and used to take a bottle once in a while but since he usually gets boob he stopped taking a bottle recently.

over the last 1 1/2 months we've tried:
-silicone & latex nipples
-slow-fast fow nipples
-water, water w/ juice, bm, and formula (powder & ready made)
-dh, my mom, and i have tried to give the bottle
-we tried when he's hungry and when he's not
- we've tried a spoon, a sippy cup, a cup, and a straw

***( he'll take some from a dropper that he sucks it out of, a cup, and a spoon, but goes hystreical when it's the bottle. he chews on the bottle nipple when he's not hysterical bt will NOT suck!) ***


anyone else go through this? what helped?

My dd is only almost 3 weeks old, but she does reject the bottle once awhile and wants the breast only..

did you try changing the type of nipple?

I know when my dd does take bottle she only wants the brown nipple not the clear silicone kind.

When I went back to work my son rejected the bottle for about a week!

He eventually did take one.

Bella rejected it for a LONG while. However... she just took one this past weekend for my sister....

I think it just takes persistence.

what about the haberman special needs feeder? It is $15 for the nipple and vale is extra. Medilla sells them you have to call them.
