Anyone else's DC suck their hands until they are raw?

DD has been furiously sucking everything in sight lately- including her hands, her arm, her shirt, my shirt, her toys, everything- which leads me to believe she is teething big time!

I noticed tonight that her knuckles are really raw- and one of them is on the verge of bleeding. Any suggestions as to what I can do about this? I'm afraid to put anything on her hands because she will put it in her mouth.

DS has little red bumps/rash on this hand due to his constant sucking on them. I don't put anything on them.

Does she take a pacifier so that maybe her hands can dry out a little bit? Does she suck her hands when she sleeps? If she doesn't, maybe you could put so aquaphor on the sore spots.

DS is crazy sucker!!!! He does his entire fist. Luckily, whenever I've found him doing this, I give him something else to chomp on like teething rings, teething books, my finger, etc. So he hasn't gotten to the bloody knuckles yet. I'd call the pediatrician to see what you can use.

I know I asked my ped what I can use on *my* bloody hands (because I'm washing all the time) and explained that DS sucked on them. She said Aquaphor. But I'd check with your pediatrician.

Yes! She ***** her thumb so much that the skin around the bottom of it is red and scaly. I can't put anything on it because she ***** it even while she sleeps!
