Anyone Else's Neighbor Not Bring In or Secure Outdoor Furniture?
My neighbor to the left of me didn't take anything in. Their gas grill is still out there. Their deck faces the wall of windows in family room. I am so angry at these people. I am going to leave a note or their door because I know they won't open it if I knock. And we are being evacuated so I won't even be here. So nervous one of their chairs is going to come through my window.

With the exception if two other families, no one has done a thing. Our house looks so out if place with the shuttered windows.

They still have time to take care of things in the yard.
Maybe they are taking care of stuff inside.???
Good luck!

That's what I want to do, play the helpful neighbor, however, they are the neighborhood crazies. Their thirty-something year-old son lives with them so you'd think he'd have taken care of it. I'll try that tactic you suggested first. Thanks!

See thats what we did, except for the BBQ (DH will do that when he gets home from securing the boat)...everything else is tied down. We have a tiny shed that is FULL...and we don't have a garage...so we had to do the best we could.

Nope! Actually, I have rope that my boyfriend left for me yesterday in case I needed it. Should I bring it over to them? I just don't want to set them off and then they really won't do anything. I hate spiteful people!

Re: Anyone Else's Neighbor Not Bring In or Secure Outdoor Furniture?
Honestly, NONE of my neighbors have done a damn thing. I'm actually debating going to my parents' house BECAUSE of my neighbors.
I've complained about this on here before, and even said something to them yesterday... this is my back neighbor's fence. It is just a disaster waiting to happen, and my house will pay the price!!!!

Re: Anyone Else's Neighbor Not Bring In or Secure Outdoor Furniture?
My neighbors have a bunch of garbage on the curb for special pickup. They have until noon before a few of us go over and knock on their door and politely request that they remove their heads from their a$$es.
ETA - They're the only house like that though. Everyone else was out last night and this morning getting ready.

Re: Anyone Else's Neighbor Not Bring In or Secure Outdoor Furniture?
It's so interesting, the differences. We just walked the dogs for about 40 minutes and everyone has their basketball nets laying down, no garbage cans visible, etc.
One of my neighbors down the block is having a tree removed as I type. I guess they knew it was bad already and were concerned about what it would do to their house.
It was nice to walk around and stop to talk to everyone. I like the feeling of community when everyone is anticipating something like this.

Re: Anyone Else's Neighbor Not Bring In or Secure Outdoor Furniture?
We haven't brought any of our stuff in yet, but we are planning to when DH comes back from the store. We're just a little slow getting to it.

Oh, yeah, I forgot! My neighbors 3 door down have a couch outside for pick-up. I saw it a 1/2 hour ago while walking the dog. Some people really have no common sense.

Re: Anyone Else's Neighbor Not Bring In or Secure Outdoor Furniture?
My neighbors on one side haven't put anything away and it actually looks like they are out of town! Hoping they will show up today and take care of things since we're not in an evacuation zone. They have garbage cans out, plastic furniture on the deck, a hammock on a metal stand, lots of little garden things. I'm thinking of sending DH over to secure some things if he's willing. They also have furniture on a second floor deck that we wouldn't be able to get to. Hoping it doesn't come through my roof!

my neighbors are well to put it nicely "nasty" ppl. They have everything outside still and to top it off they use there front yard as a play zone and have a million things out ride on bikes n cars a Huge doll house n bench all about 4 feet from my car... I told my dh that when it gets bad if there still out there im throwing it all over there fence i dont want that stuff hitting my car just because there to lazy and dont care to bring it all in,

My moron neighbors still have both their basketball hoops in the street, I hope it falls and they can never play again!
They also have all their lawn signs, and a little couch and all their garbage cans are still out. They're stupid.
