Anyone else's toddler like medicine too much??
I don't want him to dislike medicine, but it worries me how much he enjoys it.
When he needs tylenol or anything like that he generally is asking for more. If he sees me take medicine he asks to have some.
This morning I gave his vitamin and he went to grab two - threw a tantrum when I took one away and explained we only take one and only mommy gives him medicine. He started yelling, "my special candy" I think he is confusing it with smarties which I gave him a few of when we were potty training. How do I distiguish it for him??

YES! Genevieve will tell me something is hurting her (when I ask what she says she doesnt know) and that "tylenol, the PINK tylenol, not the WHITE will make me feel all better"

Yikes.... I have no idea as mine all spit medicine out. What about giving him the liquid vitamins? Those do not taste very good at all.

my dd loved amoxicillen...we called it her pink medicine and she would run to the kitchen for it! she would say "yum" when taking it and ask for more! she loves her vitamins too.

This may not work my DD used to fight me to take her vitamins. Now that she is a toddler, she asks for more of the liquid vitamins. She is the same way with all medicines.

Yea Kaydyn loves medicine. She had a cold and we gave her tylenol a few nights to help her sleep. Well one night I didn't want to give it to her because she was better and she saw it on her changing table and freaked asking for it. I had to hide it in the drawer (along with all her other medicines) so she doesn't ask for them constantly.

Another medicine loving toddler here 
And she is specific...the yellow dropper goes with the white medicine, the pink dropper for the red medicine, etc, etc.

OMG - yes....she BEGS for medicine. She LOVES tylenol. Sometimes she really has tantrums about me not giving it to her . If she's real bad I empty the syringe thing and put it in her mouth.
On the other hand, she HATES Dimetapp and runs when she sees it!

Lily loves it too. She doesn't ask for it if she doesn't need it really, but if I ever ask her if she wants some, I get a big "YES!".
She liked her liquid vitamins also though, so I think she's just a freak.

Oh yes. The only thing helping get his teeth brushed in the morning is the promise of a vitamin afterwards! He liked the liquid vitamins too, but he LOVES the chewables. Same with tylenol, he always wants more.

That's totally Gracelyn. At night she'll say, "mommy I'm broken, need medcine" or "mommy my head hurts, my foot hurts, my tummy hurts, my arm hurts, need medcine, make me all better."

Man am I in trouble then.
AJ sucks down all meds like its candy now at 16mo. She makes "mmmMMmm" sounds with Amoxicillian and when she sees a syringe with meds she opens REALLY wide for it.
All meds... including tylenol, motrin, all antibiotics she's been on, claritin..

i have this issue too!! when i give him his daily vitamin, he always asks "please mommy, two?" and when he sees me take my prenatals (i have to take 4 pills) he cries bc he only gets to take 1!!!

My DD LOVES the infant Tylenol. She licks her lips and grabs for the bottle. I guess they make it taste really good!

Oh how I wish....we are the total opposite. She used to like it, then hadn't had any for a while. It is impossible for us to get it in her. We hold her down and she still manages to spit it out. I bought chewable tylenol and motrin, tried telling her it was candy, but she didn't buy it. She loves her vitamins though (flintstones) and would eat them all day. She thinks they are candy.

DD loves Motrin. Now it's to the point that it's not so much for teething, but for a fever. So she doesn't get it nearly as often.
