Anyone ever make sweet potato chips?
Any advice on time to cook, temperature, and spices to use?
I was thinking of brushing them with olive oil and sprinkling either cajun seasoning or paprika. Any other ideas?
Cut the long or short way?
Thanks!

I cut them the sort way, but not too thin.
I throw them in a ziplock...with olive oil, pepper, garlic, and salt.
shake then lay them out on cookie sheet.
I usually bake at 400...check in about 6 minutes, flip then add parm cheese.
we love dipping them in maple syrup...tastes so good.

I make sweet potato fries.
I cut them up put them on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil, salt, pepper, cinnamon, a little sugar, chili powder and put them in the oven on 450. I broil them in the last 2 minutes.
You have to turn them or you will have a soggy mess.

Do they come out crunchy this way?

I also melt butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and put it in a ziploc and slice the potatoes and put them in,. Then bake - they don't usually come out too crunchy though but they are delish.

I slice them as thin as I can with the mandolin, salt them a little and throw them in the fryer.
