Anyone ever take cake decorating classes?
I just started course I - Wilton. I basically just did this to make some pretty cakes compared to the disasters I usually turn out. Would you think I need to take course II?
If you did, was it worth it?
TIA!

I took a class last year. It was fun but much, much harder than I thought it would be!

Re: Anyone ever take cake decorating classes?
I used to make and decorate cakes as a side business.
When I first started, I found that the icing used what KEY.
Depending on the kind, temperature, it would start being too soft and I could not do any flowers, etc...
ETA: it also takes a LOT of practice. Just make a batch at home and practice.

Oh I've already found out I messed up the consistency on the icings my first week But I hope to practice, practice, practice and hopefully become somewhat decent. This week I am practicing the flower petals
