Re: Anyone ever work in a medical office?
I think it depends on what that particular office's policy is - when they make it effective, like 30 days after hire or 1st of the month following hire date.
I worked part time in a medical office during college as a receptionist and I really loved it. We had a good team.

Re: Anyone ever work in a medical office?
I currently work in a medical office and I know in my office, it depends on how many hours you work/week, plus the length of your employment that determines the benefits..
For example: people who work at least 37.5 hours/week and are employed with the company for three months are given benefits such as dental/medical/flex card, etc. After 1 year, you can enroll in the 40k-- But it's all office dependant.. You should be sure to ask these questions at an interview so you know what you are accepting when you agree to take a position-- Also, it's not bad etiquette to call back after an interview to s/w the interviewer again to ask these questions.. I think it makes you look really interested.
Hope that helps. -Danielle
