Yup, DH and I are taking the day off. We were supposed to go to DC, but had to cancel. So we decided to still take the day off. We're going to veg out in front of the TV all day.

Going to have my students eat lunch in the room to watch some of it.
I bough them Red/White kool aid drinks and Firecracker ices to celebrate.
I want them to have a special memory of this historical event ( they are 3rd grade so the sugary treats should do the job ;)

DH has a drs appt @10:45 and I really hope we won't miss it.

not really... to be honest, i am a bit sick of all the Obama overload. while i appreciate the historic impact of his inaugeration...that is huge, i am sick of the media and everyone else making him out to be some God ro soemthing. he hasn't done anything yet!!!!! i wish him well and will definitely watch, but i am more interested in what happens when he's actually in office; I do hope people stop treating him like some infallible God.
