Anyone familiar with AFPA?
After my yoga cert, I want to become PT & Group Fitness Certified. Most of the places I looked at do home study... I would prefer a class, but if most offer home study, then I want to make sure I get the most comprehensive home study program available to prepare me for the test. I found AFPA and they look pretty solid and have a lot of offerings. Are they nationally recognized?
I am going back and forth and back and forth with this! I just want to pick a program and order it! LOL I feel like I'm going in circles because I don't know where to begin

Re: Anyone familiar with AFPA?
I am certified through AFAA. Check them out they have an APEX in February that offers workshops (they do this once or twice a year) to get certified for a discounted rate. They have a primary one in NY. Check out the website. You do have to study on your own before going to the workshop....but they go over everything at the workshop before you take the test so you feel much more comfortable...I felt like it was pretty easy. www.afaa.com

Re: Anyone familiar with AFPA?
I would recommend getting a more recognized certification. AFAA for group fitness, ACE. ISSA. NSCA for PT.
