Anyone feel like their hair has STOPPED growing while pregnant?

I haven't had a haircut since the summer and noticed my hair really isn't that long, especially my bangsChat Icon Also, I can go without shaving for days and nothing????? Just found this odd, I know usually it's the opposite effect. Anyone else?

mine is completely the opposite. Well...my legs dont need to be shaved as often, but the hair on my head grows SO fast. I had a trim just about 2 months ago and already my hair grew so much that its literally the longest its EVER been. And I'm growing hair in places I've never grown it before Chat Icon Chat Icon

Funny you say that b/c I was JUST thinking the same exact thing this morning. I haven't gotten a haircut in months and my hair usually grows so fast. I'm staring in the mirror thinking... ok, I want to grow my hair a bit so when I have the baby I can throw it back yet it hasn't grown in months.

I have the short haircut where it's longer in the front and short in the back. B4 being preggo I had to get it cut a lot to maintain the look and now it's looked the exact same way since my last haircut... months ago

yes...the hair on my legs only has to be shaved every few days and the hair on my head is growing so slow...it sucks because I'm trying to grow it out. Same thing happened with my DD but not with my DS...thinking maybe it's a sign of a girl for me because of it.

Hair on my legs, eyebrow, facial hair (Chat Icon ) grows very very slowly now. I am not sure about the hair on my head b/c it never grows much anyway.

In the beginning I did but then it kicked in but it's not rapid. I'm growing my hair out so I wish it'd grow already. But I've heard after the baby.... it falls out!!!! Chat Icon

My nails are doing great though! Chat Icon

Same here. It's been this way my whole pregnancy! And it really sucks cause until it finally grows to one lenght, I have to style it every day.

Your hair goes through a resting phase while your body concentrates on growing other more important things attached to your bodyChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon . You also will be shedding last hair (hence that pregnancy hair everyone usually raves about).

Just be prepared that after you have the baby, all of that hair that was in the resting phase, also goes through the shedding phase. There is a huge amount of post partum hair loss - enough that you will be convinced you're going bald. It grows back - it just takes awhile.
