Anyone find out sex at 12 week ultrasound?
I want to know if I am having a boy or girl so I can start baby shopping!

I had a friend who found out she was having a boy at the 12 week appt.
My appt is Thursday and I am hoping they can see a little penis

they did not even venture a guess. its really hard to see anything at that point, the outside genatalia is JUST starting to develop.

They didn't attempt to tell me. I think for most, it's way too earlier to be sure.
My level II is Sept. 25th..eek!

I didn't even bother asking. They have a 50% chance of being right, but it's really too early to be sure so it's chancy IMO. Most places won't venture a guess at this point.

Mine guessed and said it was a 75% chance she was right. I just had my Level II this morning and she (the tech) was right about the sex.

Beware of finding out the sex at 12 weeks! I was told by the radiologist at 12 weeks that she was 95% sure it was a BOY! 8 weeks later at my Level II, lo and behold, it's a GIRL! Imagine my shock after thinking it was a boy for 8 weeks and telling the EVERYONE it's a boy! (and they say that if they say it's a boy early on, they are usually right - not in my case!).
Either way, I'm thrilled - but it's still a shock! And definitely a funny story to tell!
Here is a website I found that shows the girl and boy parts early on - and you can see how similar they are!

I was told that I was having a boy, but not to go run and decorate his room until the Level II. The tech was right though.

DITTO, same EXACT thing happened to me....although I had a weird suspicion they were wrong, the tech didn't even venture a guess and the random hospital doc came in and took a guess and said 75% boy, and at 20 weeks, we had them check three times to confirm it's a GIRL!!!!

I was 12.5 weeks and the tech would not guess, she said the genitals were too small, but she did say even if I had went a week later she could have given a guess, but they are wrong often when they guess too early.
