Anyone get a breastpump from Edgepark and then told you owe??

I got a breastpump from Edgepark, they covered it 80% and i only paid $40 for it. I thought my insurance company only covered it if medically necessary. Now they telling me i owe something like $500+ for the breastpump because my insurance came back saying no after they already said yes and the rep i spoke with when i check in shipping said they have documentation when they called for insurance verification they said they did cover it, can the insurance company just change their mind like that after the fact? They sent it to me so i assumed all was good and Edgepark told me it was covered....

I posted about the possibility of this happening in Sept and held on to the pump for a month before i opened it thinking i was safe and all was fine...oops....how long was i supposed to wait...

I used edgepark but my insurance company covered 100 percent. I think I called them a couple of times just to make sure they covered it considering edgepark said you only had 30 days to return it. Did you get a claim form in the mail from the insurance company saying it was covered? If you did and it was within the 30 day period that you could have returned it, i would call the insurance company and argue it.

Also, I would double check with your insurance company( if you haven't already) to make sure you actually owe anything. Before I ordered from edgepark I was dealing with a different medical supply company that was trying to bill me even though it was covered 100 percent.

Yikes! This is my worst fear. Please let us know how it turns out. Seems like such a scam that they would send it and then try and bill you later!!!!!!
