Anyone go out to the North Fork for dinner?
DH and I decided yesterday that we want to drive way out east. so we ended up in East Marion (almost at Orient Point) at this Greek place called Hellenic Snack Bar. it's a restaurant though, not a snack bar 
we had the most AMAZING food! what a great place. don't you just love winging it sometimes?

That place is great, isn't it? I used to live on the North Fork. There's some awesome places to eat out there.

I go out to the North Fork alot, my parents have a summer place out there... I love it.. I have never tried that place before because I always thought it was a snack bar....now I'm going to have to try it based on your good review, thanks!!

We LOVE that place! Unfortunately, it's over an hour drive from our house, but whenever we have a reason to be out that way, we always stop in. It's a mandatory stop if we take the ferry. 
We've been going there for over 10 years at least. We compare all other Greek restaurants to that one. It's still top on our list, too.

The food there is really good. We have a friend who lives in Aquebogue and have been there a few times with them.

DH & I use to do this ALOT. Reminds me that it has been a while since we've just driven & found somewhere! 
ETA: Out East has alot of great places. My in-laws have a summer cottage out there that we use alot!

Oooo... I passed that today on the way home from the Orient Ferry. Is it really good? DH and I love Greek food! Thanks for the recommendation!
