Anyone going grey?
Dare I say it. I think I wanna stop dyeing my hair. I just dont know if it will suit me. Should I hang on to my youth a bit longer? I'll be 40 soon. Time for a new chapter?

Anyone going grey?
I stopped dyeing my hair 3+ years ago. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.

Re: Anyone going grey?
It would look awful on me, but depending on your skin tone it could look great. I can't even do cool blondes so grey would be a no no on me

Anyone going grey?
That's completely your decision. I have never dyed my hair in my life, I just have a strand or two of grey that I pull out as soon as I see it, lol! I would tell you my age, but I'm leary now of giving out too much info. But I would not be okay going grey, maybe in my 70's . But if you are comfortable, go for it!!!! On some people iy looks beautiful!

Re: Anyone going grey?
I would love to. I'm tired of dyeing my hair every 3-4 weeks. I feel like it's doing so much damage. But, I don't think I could do it. My greys are more silvery, which is pretty to me, but I don't know if I'd be up for such a drastic change.

Anyone going grey?
I haven’t dyed my hair yet but I definitely have more than a handful of grey hairs. My hairdresser says it’s not that bad - YET - so I am holding off. I am going to see how things progress.

Re: Anyone going grey?
stopped about 7 years ago never looked back.
some people love my hair (it's not fully white, i'm salt and pepper) some WOMEN comment it makes me look too old and I should color
i don't have the time or patience to do the maintenance, plus i've earned every g d grey hair on my head. and i'm not into adding any chemicals into my body.
it's up to you but I say go for it. let us know what you decide

I'll be honest it's not too bad yet, but I've been dyeing since I got my first grey hair. I do it myself which I just hate doing. So it's more of a lazy thing lol but I have seen since the pandemic so many women on Instagram embracing the grey and they look good! It's like a new liberating movement, I just dont know I could pull it off. I suppose if it looks that terrible I can always dye it again..

I would suggest trying on a wig and seeing if grey will suit you. Some people can rock it but some people it makes their skintone look terrible.

Re: Anyone going grey?
You've all seen my Santa pic... but whether it's fair or not, grey/white hair on men is much different than on women, so I know that this topic doesn't really involve me. Almost all of my grey hair is in my beard, so if I shaved it off, like most men do, I would look younger. I'm obviously not worried about it.

I never really colored my hair. Highlights for a wedding once. Not sure what I'll do when I start to gray. I hate to put chemicals on my hair...cancer history so I'm careful

Re: Anyone going grey?
After being exposed to covid at the hair salon...I may let it go grey, or I may need to color at home for a few months.

Re: Anyone going grey?
I like to think people can’t tell on zoom. I’m screwed when I have to go back to the office.
I have a lot of emotions about dying my hair. I actually love my unique color. Ugh. This is triggering as I really feel uncomfortable in salons and know I need to do it eventually but dread it.

This is me. I’m 43.5 and have a few scattered grays. I’m waiting a little longer before dying because I’m losing my hair as it is to peri menopause and now I’m waiting for the covid hair loss to start too!
But once it’s enough to be obvious, I’m going to dye it. I couldn’t see me going fully gray until my 70’s (if I make it to then) My mom went gray in her mid 70’s. Uses the purple toner to keep it bright and fresh looking. She also puts a colorful streak in the front every so often. Pink or purple. She told me she wants to do her whole head pink just because. She’s 81 and a bad ass lol

My DHs beard has so much white in it when he lets It grow in past a scruff. Yet he only has a few white hairs by his temples. When he shaves, he looks a lot younger because you don’t see all the white.

My dh too. Men are such a enigma I swear. Lol. And like GoldenRod said, when they age a bit, go grey etc they actually look better. Ah, life is not fair!

Anyone going grey?
I personally feel like i have a lot of grey hair for my age. It makes me so sad. I’ve been dyeing my roots around every 8 weeks. In the beginning of covid, I obviously let it go a lot longer since I wasn’t going into work and the salons weren’t open. I use a root touch up pen/powder in between dyeing. I’m very concerned about damaging my hair, but I just can’t bring myself to let my grey hair grow out right now.

Honestly coloring is way less damaging than going lighter or highlighting. My stylist once told me years ago that adding color actually fills in weak spots and strengthens them where as going lighter is stripping the hair. Anytime I would color my hair with no bleach, just color, it would be 100 times healthier than when I would highlight and lighten. My issue is I live the blonde life with highlights. That actually makes my greys so much less noticeable, but it's very damaging. I should probably go back to my natural color but I feel it's too dark for me

Anyone going grey?
Not me - after seeing Keanu's girlfriend, who is in her 40s but looks like Helen Mirren, I'm going to keep dying it! But I also don't think the color would suit me b/c of my skin tone.

I see so many women who look amazing with it, but they are full on gray. I am afraid for me I will just end up with a Cruella stripe for the next 10 years lol. We'll see what happens

No way. Maybe when I'm about 80 but not before. I don't care what other people do but for me it's a hard no!

Anyone going grey?
I have been dying my hair since I was 20. I have a ton of grey and always did. I have seen some women who look fabulous in grey hair and it suits them but I have also seen some women who went grey and it aged them 20 years. 40 IMO is way to young to be completely grey but it totally up to you and if you like the look, rock it!!

Re: Anyone going grey?
No way - I've been dying my hair since I'm 16 (my dad was totally grey by the time he was 22). My mom on the other hand is 74 and just starting to color her hair now.
My hair isn't really grey -it's pure white and soft, but it washes me out too much.

I'm 47 and don't care that I'm graying. I just happen to LOVE red hair. I wish I could color rhe brown and leave out the gray.
I'm going to be red until the bury me, so I guess I'll never go gray lol
