Me and DH saw it last night. We actually enjoyed it. We felt it was a remake of ABOUT LAST NIGHT with demi moore and rob lowe ------if anyone saw that movie. Even though you werent given clear answer at the end, I didnt think it was too difficult to figure out what was going to happen. Overall we thought it was cute.
actually i don't see the comparison at all to that movie...

DH and I just got back and both enjoyed it, though it was definitely NOT a comedy (though there were great one-liners by Vince).

WE just got back from seeing it... I thought it was good...there were alot of parts that DH and I looked at each other because we've said or thought those things about each other.

Just a few of the reasons why the 2 films are pretty much the same idea:
Rob Lowe = Vince Vaughn
Demi Moore = Jen Aniston
Elizabeth Perkins = Joey Lauren Adams
Jim Belushi = Jon Favreau
In both, A man and woman meet and have a romantic affair, despite their personal problems and the
interference of their disapproving friends.
Demi Moore and Jen Aniston leave after deciding they can't continue with the relationship, despite a please by both Lowe and Vaughn to stay together
After the break up, both Rob Lowe and Vince Vaughn finally put all their energy into their career
After the break ups, both couples bump into each other after a long time apart and its obvious they are
getting back together.
Both movies take place in Chicago.

imo they are really nothing alike other than superficially..

about last night was a relationship that was started on a one night stand...
didn't last long at all..IMO it was about young people trying to be in a mature relationship after sex
Breaking Up...was based on some sort of love..it was an adult relationship. Which, for many reasons, it wasn't working. I actually saw a lot of similarities to old relationships of my own...
And i certainly wouldn't compare any old relationship of mine to the one from About Last Night..
Yes both broke up...as in many movies..both realizing or trying to late...
i wouldn't say, in Breaking Up, they had disapproving friends per say...
VV had a weird friend...but the others were normal. JA friends IMO weren't disapproving at all...they were just being supportive..
About last night had disapproving friends that were disgruntaled and unhappy with their immature lives...
not really the case in Breaking Up
And in About Last Night...yes it did seem that they were getting back together..
Breaking Up...i don't think i assumed that they were "getting back together"
