Anyone good at Resume writing
I have a couple questions regarding resumes (sorry its long):
If you worked for a company that had one name for part of your employment there and then was acquired and changed their name do you just write it in with their current name? (btw this is a internationally known company)
and
I changed my name when I got married so I am wondering how it works if they contact past employers and schools etc. who don't know me by my new last name?
I appreciate any help!
TIA

Well you could list both names. I see a lot of people writing
"CA (formerly Computer Associates) March 1994 - August 2006"
You could leave out the "formerly" and just write the former name in parentheses or use a / to separate it. Really whatever looks better. I don't think there is a right or wrong way.
As for your name, use your new name. When you fill out any paperwork with the new company, a application, any forms etc. they will ask you if you went by any other names and may even ask for a maiden name.
Good Luck!
