Anyone had custom furniture made for them (dining table)?
I would LOVE a nice big farm table. Like those from Pottery Barn but they are so $$$$. Solid wood. No veneer.
Could I get something done by a cabinet/furniture maker for less $$$ than those expensive stores?

My cousin did, but it was expensive.
You could FM shelly, her DH makes custom pieces.

call Yelchin...i think he does this kind of custom work. I have seen some of his custom woodwork, like a built in bar and a built in fish tank...

My Mom had one made, out of wood from old farms. I believe she used someone out east, but it was $$$.
If you are interested I can find out the name of the place for you.

Duh!!!!
Yes, he told me that he loved doing that. He showed me some of his work.
He needs to come back to do my mantle for the fireplace. I will make sure he is not working at your house first though.

or My mother in laws house...he is schedule for april 24th to go there!

Sassyz's dad made mine - I found it to be better quality at a better price than what I could find in the stores. You just bring photos of what you want, tell him what size and what type of wood and he'll give you an estimate. He's a vendor on here - Dynamic Kitchens and Furniture.

Sassyz's dad made mine - I found it to be better quality at a better price than what I could find in the stores. You just bring photos of what you want, tell him what size and what type of wood and he'll give you an estimate. He's a vendor on here - Dynamic Kitchens and Furniture.
Her Dad (Jim) just made my DD's big girl bedroom set. I wanted the Pottery Barn set, but didn't want to spend the $$$. I also got to alter the things I wanted. I LOVE her furniture!!!
