Anyone have a cream cheese icing recipe?

Do they all contain butter?
I recall my mom making an icing back when I was a kid with just cream cheese and powdered sugar.
But eveyrthing I have found online says to use butter as well.
I'd like to avoid the excess butter if I can.
What do you think?

I make one but it's with butter too.

1 stick butter, soft
1 package cream cheese, soft
6 cups powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla

Cream butter & cream cheese together. Add powdered sugar (I do one cup at a time so you don't have sugar flying all over your kitchen), then add vanilla and whip up until fluffy.

this is the recipe I use, I always cut the sugar and add it to taste. The first time I made it I used all the sugar and it overpowered the taste of the cream cheese:

Cream cheese frosting

* 1/2 cup butter, softened
* 8 ounces cream cheese
* 4 cups confectioners' sugar
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

1. Beat softened butter and cream cheese until well blended.
2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
