Anyone have a dr. in Queens they can recommend?
Mine retired, and the one I went to for my 1st appt was good, but I think I'd like to see at least one other (who maybe delivers at a closer hospital) before I make up my mind. Thx!

I go to North Village OBGYN in Forest Hills my doctor is Dr. Sturim (female) and I like her and I've meet the other Dr. Wolfson (male) and he's nice too.
They only deliver at Long Island Jewish.

I have one that I won't recommend...Dr.Barbara Hessel in forest Hills. She is great when everything is going OK (like for a yearly pap), but doesn't have the best bedside manner and gets easily annoyed when you ask questions.

I have one i wouldnt reccommend either. Richard Roberts ... horrible bedside manner, sooo cocky he makes errors.

I used to go to a practice in Bayside, but had to switch due to insurance change. I was very happy with them and my sister still goes there as does my cousin. My sister's doctor is Dr. Christine Melgar and my cousin's is Dr. Greenberg. Also I think there's one or two other doctors in the practice.

Dr. Melgar is my Dr. too. They are all great. And they are affiliated with North Shore Manhasset.

I love my obgyn...so does my mom and sister...her name is Marina Shtern...She has two offices..one in flushing and one in forest hills ( I go to the forest hills office)

I LOVE this man! This practice is awesome! They deliver at NSUH.
I seriously love Dr. G - what a great bedside manner.
Maybe I will see you there one day!

OMG - Dr. Meir doesn't deliver? I didn't know that.
I have met them all but Dr. Rothstein, who I have heard amazing things about so I am not really concerned but I was under the impression tha he delivered too. 
Oh well. It is great to see that others love this practice as well.

yup dr melgar is my obgyn lovvvvvvvve her....we have similar personalities same sense of humor...takes no bs type of lady....shes great. and the practice has many other doctors that my friends and other family memebers go to and love

Both Greenbergs are great, but Dr. Meir doesn't deliver.
He must've stopped delivering within the past couple of years because he is who delivered my GF's daughter in feb '05.
Gilad is real sweetheart.
Dr. Melgar delivered my 1st DS and Rothstein delivered my 2nd DS.
Rothstein is such a comedian. When she pulled my little guy out instead of "it's a boy" she yelled "IT'S A TODDLER!!!" (he really was big though) She also delivered my GF's son and when the baby was crowning she yells out "IT'S BLONDE" (they both have dark hair)

i love them so much and i love the father and son....i love love gilad, but when did meir stop delievering??? he delievered my son and i couldnt have been treated better! thats sad to hear!

omg I thought I was the only person who thought so, dr. Hessel is not the doc you want to go to when you are pregnant (or not) it's like she can'twait to leave the room and makes you feel like she could care less about your problems.
