Yes. I plan to mount it by the end of this year, or when she starts walking. Whichever happens first.

Mine is in an entertainment armoire. I'm not so worried about it since they can't get to the sides of it, and it's pushed back from the front.

Yes, it's on a table and he is now over there all the time. We are planning to strap it to the wall. Our TV came with a strap for this very purposed when not wall mounting.

Re: anyone have a flat screen that is not mounted
Flat screen TVs are typically pretty heavier (my 50' is over 100 lbs.). It's also very secured attached to the base. It would take a very strong child to topple the TV off its base.
I won't worry about this but if it gives you peace of mind, try to push the tv off the base and see if you can do it. ;)

Re: anyone have a flat screen that is not mounted
Mine is in the corner, pushed back on the stand and not top heavy at all so I'm not worried about it falling over.

Re: anyone have a flat screen that is not mounted
mine is on a Bell'o stand, and I think we will just put a large baby gate around i t to keep DC away. I hesitate to put it on the wall and have all those holes since we won't be here too much longer

mine is the same way, but both my girls love to touch the screen So unfortunately we had to buy a huge ugly gate for the front until they stop!

Re: anyone have a flat screen that is not mounted
The TV is big, I'll see if I can even push it over My imidiate thought was more of it falling on her, not the fact that she can even push it over. I guess we can get straps to be sure, or just mount it.
The lucky girl is getting a 40 something" HDTV because my DH wants a bigger one for the great room.
We might have to get a gate too until she learns not to touch the tv.

Re: anyone have a flat screen that is not mounted
Ours is in our bedroom and currently not mounted.
My BIL is supposed to come and help DH mount it on the wall. Since we don't know when exactly - we limit her walking in our bedroom until we can do it.
