We usually beat one egg for every 2 pieces of bread or so. Then we add a bit of milk, a splash of vanilla extract, some cinnamon and maybe a tablespoon of sugar. It's all very eyeball, to be honest. I've also added seltzer b/c someone recomennded to do so. And baking the french toat is also good.

I used cinnamon raisin bread--it was wonderful!!!!!!!
1 egg, a bit of milk, a splash of vanilla extract, and it made about 4 slices.

i like mine plain- we jsut dip the bread in egg with a spash of milk- nothing else... i do dip it in sugar instead of syrup as i am eating it though...
