Anyone have a miss matched livingroom set?
DH and i bought a couch from The Place last February. It was for our Den so we didn't get the loveseat. Fastforward to This past November....Of course i decided to switch the den couch with the living room sectional and put the couch in the LR. We went to the place, ordered the matching loveseat and they told us 8 weeks. We called on Monday (the 9th week) after not hearing anything from them. They tell us the couch has been discontinued. Of course i am fuming and they told DH they would return our couch and we can pick out a new couch and love seat. Now they are saying it's been too long and they wont do it. They will give us a $100 GC and 10-15% off a loveseat that we pick out but we can't return the couch. So now i am even more ******.
Does anyone have a mismatched living room set like this and how did you make it work? Our couch is a dark Sage and now i ****** b/c i feel my LR is going to look like Sh!t with 2 different couches. TIA!

My entire house is mismatched
I bought a slipcover from JCP to kinda make the color better.

I can understand why you are upset, but I would look at this as an opportunity. You can absolutely do something that coordinates with your current sofa. You could do the loveseat in a pattern and repeat the pattern in a pillow or two on the sofa. Instead of a loveseat you could possibly do two chairs. There are so many options. Please post some pictures of your room so we can be more specific.

i think you can make it work - i kind of like when things look like they are acquired and not just purchased as a set....
if you post pictures of your couch and give us the store maybe we can all look on their site to try and find some ideas for you....

I was just about the make the same suggestion. We're getting a new living room set when we move and are doing a couch and 2 chairs.

I totally agree. Let's see what you have and lets help you out. I love chairs with couches. You could even buy a recliner that looks like a chair.

I don't know what your room looks like or your taste, but you could do something like this with you Sage couch.
Is your couch about this color?
Maybe you could do something like this to go with your couch.
Hopes this helps.

Yes, if your couch is a solid color, i would buy a loveseat or a chair in a pattern that complements your couch

I don't like sets. I prefer a solid pieced sofa and then a patterned love seat. Not a fan of anything too matchy matchy. I think coordinating looks "richer" and is something more like an interior decorator would do.

Re: Anyone have a miss matched livingroom set?
i prefer a set for a loveseat and couch BUT i do like when a chair is a different pattern. Personally I think it looks to mismatched having 2 couches (even though one is a loveseat) in 2 different patterns. I agree with above posters on getting 2 chairs in a different pattern. is your couch patterned or solid color? If it is solid color i would do a patterned chair and if the couch is patterned I would do a solid chair
Post a picture of your LR and of the couch and Im sure someone here could be of more help

Re: Anyone have a miss matched livingroom set?
Thanks for all the responses ladies. here is a picture of my couch. It's a reclining couch. Don't mind the mess or the big bare wall behind it. We haven't finished decorating and stuff yet Oh and don't mind the little Poodle...Apparently i was disturbing him!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr............. I can't make it any bigger. Sorry! Image Attachment(s):
