Anyone have a percolater coffee pot?
How do you clean it? With the regular coffee machine, I'd do the 1 part vinegar, 9 parts water & run it through a couple of times, but I'm not sure what to do with this. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks.

Re: Anyone have a percolater coffee pot?
I just wash it after every use with soapy water. I'm noticing it's getting discolored though, my mother said to use some water and vinegar and it'll take care of it. Don't run the vinegar through like with a drip pot, just wash it with it.
Make sure you rinse it really good or else the coffee will tast nasty.

Re: Anyone have a percolater coffee pot?
there is this stuff you can buy...its called Dip It.
Its a powder that is made for cleaning a perk coffee pot.
You put it in the filter, and then fill the pot with water. you put all the pieces in pot and then let it perk. Everything comes out nice and clean. then you just have to rinse the pieces after its perked and you can then make a pot of coffee!!
I use it once a month or so, depending on how much I use the pot.
