So I tried another pot of Dunkin Donuts coffee
What am I doing wrong? If followed the directions and it came out like mud. Yesterday was too weak, today too strong.
I desperately wanted to have this coffee but I can't get the water-coffee proportions right.
Has anybody made DD coffee at home?

Re: So I tried another pot of Dunkin Donuts coffee
We make DD coffee at home. I don't really drink coffee so I'm going by how DH drinks it! We fill water in the coffee pot up to say line 6 (and then pouring it into the place where you put the water) and then add 3 heaping scoops (with those coffee scoopers that I believe are equal to a tablespoon) to the filter.
I'm sorry I'm not much help but I just learned to make coffee when DH and I moved in together!

This exactly what I do with any coffee. My SIL had DD coffee on Christmas and was inquiring about the ratio (they're tea drinkers so she was somewhat clueless) Another BIL & I agreed on the ratio and when she made it, it came out great.

You have to keep playing with it until you find it right for you.
You may waste some at first........but even making coffee.......practice makes perfect

Re: So I tried another pot of Dunkin Donuts coffee
I usually use one heaping tablespoon to every two cups of water and it was too weak. DD instructs to use TWO tablespoons to one cup of coffee and that was too strong.
Maybe a one to one ratio will be the winning combination.

I dont drink coffee, but make it for my parents or other guests. My parents swear by 1 heaping tablespoon per 8 oz. water. Use tablespoon, not teaspoon!

That's what I use. 1:1. For every cup of water I put in my coffee maker, I add 1 tablespoon of coffee mix.
