Re: Anyone have a recipe for Bread Pudding?
Chocolate Bread Pudding Makes 8 servings
1 cup brown sugar 2 tbs cocoa powder 1 tbs cinnamon 3 eggs, beaten 6 oz dark chocolate, melted 1 tbs vanilla extract 3 1/2 cups heavy cream (I used light cream and it was still really good) 1 cup milk (I used skim) 6 cups of stale bread, cubed (You can use the sliced bread ex. Wonder Bread..I cut the edges off..Next time, I am going to try a whole wheat bread..bet ya you can't tell the difference) 2 tbs butter, cubed (I used the yogurt stuff we both like) 1 cup chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350F. In bowl, combine brown sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, eggs, melted chocolate and vanilla extract. Stir in heavy cream and milk; mix until blended. Add bread cubes; toss to evenly coat. Let stand 10 minutes or until bread is completely saturated. Pour mixture into a greased 13x9x2 pan. Dot top with butter and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake 1 hr or until bubbly and golden. Remove and let cool slightly. Cut into squares and serve warm with a dollop of freshly whipped cream and fruit, if desired.
Total time: 1 hr., 10 min plus cooling time
Let me know how it turns out..

Re: Anyone have a recipe for Bread Pudding?
I submitted one to the community recipe section from foodtv's Sandra Lee. It's the bread pudding with caramle rum sauce. I've made it a few times and it's delish and very easy to make.

Re: Anyone have a recipe for Bread Pudding?
I had never had bread pudding and when I went to Disney I had it at Ohana's. Well, I have been thinking about that bread pudding since I had it in February! It was so good, they topped it w/ caramel, bananas foster and vanilla ice cream. Heaven on a plate. This is the recipe I got online. They say it's the one used there. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan on it.
Bread Pudding
Ingredients
5 eggs 3 cups whole milk 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1 1/2 cup sugar 8 cups french (or Ohana breakfast bread)
1. In bowl mix eggs, milk , salt, sugar and nutmeg. Set aside. 2. Cut bread in medium pieces, place on cookie sheet pan put in 350 degree oven. 3. Bake bread until lightly toasted, about 15 minutes. Remove bread and place in egg and milk mixture. 4. Place mixture in a greased 10-inch cake pan and bake at 325 degree for 1 hour. 5. Let stand 5 minutes, serve hot with ice cream.
BANANA FOSTER SAUCE 4 oz sugar 4 oz brown sugar 4 oz corn syrup 4 oz unsalted butter 1cup heavy cream 1 tsp vanilla extract 1cup spiced rum 1cup banana slices
1. Combine sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and half of heavy cream in a large pan. Bring to a boil and slowly add remaining heavy cream keeping mixture at a steady boil.
2. Add spiced rum and flambe.
3. Candy will brown slightly; cook 3 minutes until candy forms into a firm ball in cold water. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Add sliced bananas. Serve warm.
