Anyone have a solar cover for the pool?

This is the first year we've used it. When we opened the pool, we shocked it like usual. We put the cover on last weekend and when we went to go in yesterday, we peeled back the cover and there was algae (green and loose) on the bottom. We have a vinyl liner.

Any ideas/tips?

i dont have 1....we have a small pool and no shade so it warms up really quick....

my mother does have 1 and she uses it every night (she lives upstate where it gets kinda cold at night) but she always opens it every other day even if no one uses the pool and she never has a problem, i would say take a large water sample to a pool store and have a full water test done....sometimes a small factor is out of balance and promotes algae growth.....
