Anyone have a toddler between sizes?
Abby has the waistline for 18 month sizes, but is long and lean so they are waaaaaay too short for her. I buy her 24 month sizes but they are huge. Any advice so that shes not walking around with her pants around her ankles would be appreciated. They don't really make toddler clothes with belts. Even if they did, it wouldn't be practical for a soon-to-be potty trained kid.

Michael has to wear adjustable waist pants. All others typically go back to the store. Some have good elastic, so we go with those too. I never thought he'd be too skinny!

Luca is very similar - he's in 24 month/2T now but can only wear the pants with adjustable waists. Old Navy is very good for skinny kids! Carters have the best adjustable waists on pants.

DD is in between sizes like your DD. i have to put the bigger pants on her and sometimes just have to role the bottoms up.
like your DD my DD is long and lean too. she is potty trained so i cant tighten the elastics a ton on her pants esp. when she is at daycare.
there are these belts called myself belts...best thing EVER! they are velcro and DD can do it up and undo it by herself. and i can keep her pants loose enough so she can pull them up and down herself without having to undo the button or snap!

DS has a skinny waist. He wears 18m pants but the pants fall down. My mom sews his pants so that his pants don't fall down. I can't even sew a button so I would probably safety pin them if I didn't have my mom.

DS is 20 months and right now 18 month sizes fit him perfectly but if he grows an inch they will be too short. 24 month pants and I'm constantly rolling the waist. I can only put him in overalls so many times. I hear old navy makes adjustable waistlines.

Most of Sasha's pants are all skinny leggings and I just got her all 2T size because she is so damn tall. They work and I can just hike them up so she looks like a grandpa. I get the Gap ones... 30% off through tomorrow with code "SAVEBIG".

my son is 14 months old...he is in 12 month clothes but they are too big around his wasit so i sew the back of them...i put a simple stitch in the back and when they get to tight on him i snip the stitch

Santino has an 18-24 month waist but all of his paints are too long. I plan to take all of them to get hemmed. 12 month length woudl fit him but I hate a tight waist.

I have had this problem with all three children, and adjustable waist has been the only answer I've found. Baby Gap has adjustable waist in 18-24 months. Leggings are sometimes okay, since they are cut a bit slimmer.
I also put DD in a lot of dresses because the waist issue isn't a problem with them.

I have that problem with Ezra. He is in 24m for length and 12m for his waist. Lately he has been wearing high-waters

The Cherokee brand from Target are great for my skinny tall DS!! Adjustable waist....and cheap too!! Like $6-$8 for pants.

Colin is this way - length is 3T, waist is 2T at best. We have to do adjustable waist EVERYthing now - Gap and Old Navy are our BFFs.
