anyone have a UTI/ other infection after giving birth via c/s?
like burning during urination?
i'm falling apart here!

I didnt have a c-section but ive had the burning sensation when i pee but its not all the time, mine has gotten better since i started drinking more water and my hoo-hah swelling got better, it can def be the start of a UTI esp. If you had a catheter put in. If it gets worse i would call the dr for a Rx.

I've been suffering from one after the other since my section 19 months ago. Before DS, I had ONE in my entire life. I'm just getting over #8 since September of '09.

I got a UTI, yeast infection and staph infection from my c-section. It was horrible. I think the yeast infection was from the staph infection IV drugs but def didn't go as planned. My OB said UTI's are very common with c-sections and for the first couple months following because "we have to tack the bladder back in place, takes a while to recover completely". I didn't realize they had to move it to do the section.

i remember asking the dr about it but they said that the muscles have to go back to working again.
i did have a cellulitis infection. which was infection of the skin
can you call the dr and do a urine analysis. you dont want to be uncomfortable if you dont have to be

yes, some kind of infection and it was the first and only time I had something like that. My dr said it's very common after giving birth/having a C/S.

YES...except I didn't realize it until it had turned into a MASSIVE kidney infection. When I spiked a 105 fever, I sat up and paid attention

YES. From the catheter. I kept asking if it was normal. It would hurt when bathing too.
I was told that it can happen. That it is mostly irritation. Yet, I was also told to see a urologist if it did not stop.
It did eventually after 2-3 months

Yup this is what I had too. My doc just said to drink a lot of water and eventually the irritation will go away. Mine did a couple of days after I was home from the hospital.
