Anyone have adipping oil recipe?
I have a fantastic herb & cheese pull apart "wreath" I typically make.
but I thought to do a bread basket to have out the entire meal & do dipping oil instead.
Anyone have an oil recipe?

Can you share your cheese/herb bread recipe? Sound like something I'd love to try!
This oil recipe sounds good!
1 tsp. crushed red pepper 1 tsp. ground black pepper 1 tsp. dried oregano 1 tsp. dried rosemary 1 tsp. dried basil 1 tsp. parsley flakes 1 tsp. granulated garlic 1 tsp. minced garlic 1 tsp. kosher salt 1/4 - 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
-Combine all ingredients, except oil, on a shallow bowl or plate. -Pour olive oil over.

Re: Anyone have adipping oil recipe?
You can adapt it to any toppings you like (red pepper flakes, no seeds, herbs you like, cheese you like)
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits 1/4 cup butter, melted 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme Directions Separate biscuits and cut into quarters. In an ungreased 9-in. round baking pan, combine the remaining ingredients. Add biscuits and toss to coat. Bake at 450° for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown. Invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm. Yield: 5 servings.
I use a bunt pan, cause it looks pretty & wreath-like. I prefer fresh herbs, parm-reggi & use more than 2 tbsp I also prefer to butter the biscuit pieces 1st, then toss into the herb cheese mixture.

I do something very similar to that, only I use a little butter too & heat on the stove so it really blends together. Then serve it warm.

Re: Anyone have adipping oil recipe?
I just use a very good extra virgin olive oil. And I always add some black pepper and kosher salt. Then I usually add whatever I have nearby - oregano, general italian seasoning, rosemary.

Re: Anyone have adipping oil recipe?
I put together about a quarter cup of the following mixture:
Dried Basil Dried Oregano Crushed Red Pepper Kosher salt Grated Parmesan Lemon zest
The basil and oregano are in equal parts - about half the amount of Red Pepper and then just a little of the rest.
I toss the dried herbs into a small herb pan and heat over medium for just a few moments to bring out the flavors.. and then return to a small cup when cooled.
Then I take good quality olive oil and pour into a dipping dish. Press some fresh garlic into it (I press to get the garlic oils in). Take a big pinch of the cooled dry mix and drop it into the oil. Give a quick stir and it's ready for mixing.

Ok so I just made it to test it before xmas eve since I had everything in the house.
First of all..omg delicious! The only thing was I notice the center didnt bake as quick as the ends, so after 12 min the ends were more than done but the center was still chewy and raw.I used a 9 inch round pan, not a bundt.
So I broke it apart and cooked the center more since I didnt want the edges to burn, but if I want to serve it whole what did I do wrong

Re: Anyone have adipping oil recipe?
Did you use a round or a bunt pan? I used a bunt.
Also try it with pecorino cheese!!! Parsley, thyme, rosemary, garlic....that's my favorite combination!
