We did cookie bouquets and they turned out great. We wrapped each of the cookies in plastic so people could take them home afterward.
I looooove the candy apple idea. Makes me wish we were having a fall party but I have a summer baby. oh well

For my sister's daughter's christening her friend made chocolate lollypops and then we got short glass vases/bowls and put colored glass pebble rock things in them from AC moore and then stuck the lollipops in them so that people could each take a lillipop home with them.

Re: Anyone have an ideas on table centerpieces for Christening...
The white lamb is $9.95 and the blue one is $14.95...I would seven of them for each table and maybe I could attach some chocolates to them...
The blue lamb says the "now I lay me down to sleep prayer"...

That's a great idea. I wanted centerpeices that could still show that it was a Christening I was thinking of framing some inspirational quotes and Bible sayings that pertain to children. And then doing something around them... Hmmmm... I'm still working on it

Re: Anyone have an ideas on table centerpieces for Christening...
I painted flower pots in blue and white with poki dots then put styrofoam balls in them and cover it in green moss. Next DH made chocolate lolly pops in tulips and cally lily's. They came out so cute but they melted in the car while we were in church. I felt so bad dh because he spent a total of 4 hours making the flowers. They were really inexpensive to make and realky came out nice. I would put the choc. in a cooler and then assemeble it at the place.
I am not crazy about the teady bear or lamb. They seem like they would be more shower related.
I think your best bet is either trhe cookie bouquet or a potted mum. You could also do pumpkins?

When is the christening? Is it soon? Before or December ???? If so , what I did, was buy mums out east, where they have 5 for 20.00 then wrap them in a peice of burlap..... They looked awesome!! But my son's christening was in October so it worked out !!!! Just a thought!!!
Happy Planning!!!!!
It's October 8th...
I posted before I saw that you didn't want flowers... Sorry!!!! But they are really cheap and look awesome........
Do they have a website
There is no website. You can go to any local nursey , most out east are cheaper.. I get my mums from one out east every year where they are 5 for 20.00... Keep in mind, they are huge!!! Then you go the a craft store and buy the burlap and rope and just wrap the burlap aroundthe pot and tie it. It's the easiast thing and all of my guests loved them!!!!!!!
