I don't have experience there but I did have a personal trainer at my regular gym before my wedding.
I LOVED IT! It got me in AMAZING shape. And, I was lazy so I really only went when I met with the trainer which was just twice a week, and I was STILL a buff bride!  He worked me hard though!
